Ethan Musu charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ethan Musu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dwejra's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 10th minute of the game, when Daniel Galea after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Norrlands Guld's goal. Daniel Galea was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. In the 15th minute, Ivan Attard ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Everardo Pasqual was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 21 minutes into the match, Norrlands Guld's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Attard came free, but Everardo Pasqual reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st match minute, Norrlands Guld was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mark Fenech Adami to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Dwejra defense, Mark Fenech Adami kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Liam Ciscaldi. The Dwejra fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Liam Ciscaldi should have stopped the shot. Daniel Attard kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. David Schiavone struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Everardo Pasqual didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dwejra. Norrlands Guld's Everardo Pasqual proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Norrlands Guld from getting a goal against them. If Ivan Attard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Dwejra's Giorgio Marmara in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Norrlands Guld's goalie prevented a goal. Norrlands Guld's Everardo Pasqual proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Norrlands Guld from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Norrlands Guld defense, David Schiavone kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Everardo Pasqual. The Norrlands Guld fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Everardo Pasqual should have stopped the shot. 46 minutes into the game, Jacob Mangion was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dwejra's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Norrlands Guld the free kick. After 46 played minutes Dwejra got a freekick which was hit by Jacob Mangion. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mark Fenech Adami stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Liam Ciscaldi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mark Fenech Adami's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. A collision led to Norrlands Guld getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Mario Bezzina hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Schiavone in the 55th minute of play forced Norrlands Guld's goalkeeper Everardo Pasqual to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Norrlands Guld's Adrian Abela Medici got a free kick in the 63rd minute. In the 64th minute, Adrian Abela Medici hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Galea struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Everardo Pasqual didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dwejra. After 66 minutes, Chris Cremona mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Norrlands Guld and the Dwejra players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Norrlands Guld getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Chris Cremona hit a great ball. Ivan Attard kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. David Schiavone scored 3-2 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Everardo Pasqual, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Everardo Pasqual showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Schiavone, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. If Giorgio Marmara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dwejra's Liam Ciscaldi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Dwejra from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Dwejra getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Kyle Xiberras hit a great ball. When Dwejra's Ivan Attard in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Norrlands Guld's goalie prevented a goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Dwejra fully deserved thier win.
