Spectators: 7000 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 2000, VIP seats: 0) Qala St. Joseph's Evan Gafà started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Evan Gafà put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of David Rossignaud. David Rossignaud showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charlo Depasquale, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. David Rossignaud took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evan Gafà, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 16 minutes, Evan Gafà made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Birguma's David Rossignaud tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Evan Gafà in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck David Rossignaud prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 26th minute, Calcedonio Abela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Qala St. Joseph booed when Birguma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luke Spagnol didn't get a good kick on the ball. 29 minutes into the game, Evan Gafà cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. David Rossignaud was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. David Rossignaud breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luke Spagnol made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Evan Gafà managed to get in a good position for a shot. Qala St. Joseph's supporters rose to their feet, but Evan Gafà was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Rossignaud breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alex Ghigo struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. David Rossignaud didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Qala St. Joseph. In the 57th minute, Evan Gafà reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of David Rossignaud. The goal made the score 0-4. With a little luck, Birguma's David Rossignaud got control of the ball when Evan Gafà tried to sneak it across the goal line. Qala St. Joseph made a substitution. Mario Borg Xuereb replaced Evan Gafà. Alex Ghigo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Birguma's players were relieved. After 91 played minutes Birguma got a freekick which was hit by Ephrem Brennaw. When the match was over Qala St. Joseph could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Birguma throughout the match.
