Baran Eroğlu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ildefonso Fliz, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Aron Ghinescu scored 0-2 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Baran Eroğlu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 26th minute, Oliver Ahlroth hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 26 played minutes Sigfred Michaely shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Meerkats FC's Pankracy Zawacki to catch but Sigfred Michaely was lucky. It became 1-2 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. In the 28th minute, Sigfred Michaely hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 32 minutes into the game, Aron Ghinescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Baran Eroğlu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 35 minutes into the match, Highbury Boys 1896's Andre Laspina sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pankracy Zawacki narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Malcolm Farrugia got free with Pankracy Zawacki in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Malcolm Farrugia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pankracy Zawacki having to interfere. Aron Ghinescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Baran Eroğlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45th match minute, Highbury Boys 1896 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andre Laspina to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ildefonso Fliz was the one to do the kick off. Alfred Coleiro kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 56th minute of the match Sigfred Michaely sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pankracy Zawacki skillfully saved the ball. Ildefonso Fliz made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 58thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Baran Eroğlu would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ildefonso Fliz in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Baran Eroğlu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 65 minutes into the match, Highbury Boys 1896's goalkeeper Baran Eroğlu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ildefonso Fliz. When Meerkats FC's Ildefonso Fliz in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Highbury Boys 1896's Baran Eroğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aron Ghinescu in the 89th minute of play. Aron Ghinescu took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Baran Eroğlu. Baran Eroğlu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. 93 minutes into the game, Malcolm Farrugia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Highbury Boys 1896's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Meerkats FC the free kick. A collision led to Highbury Boys 1896 getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Malcolm Farrugia hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aron Ghinescu in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Baran Eroğlu saved Highbury Boys 1896 from getting behind. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Highbury Boys 1896 lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
