Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Sliema Youngsters's Jean Paul Nappa started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With 3 minutes on the clock, Leon Zrinzo commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 3rd minute of the game. One of Sliema Youngsters:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Templars FC:s goal. The referee gave Templars FC a penalty, 5 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Staffan Apelqvist, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Sliema Youngsters's Joseph Sladden. 0-1. In the 7th minute, Adelino Marques hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jack Nicholson hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. In the 9th minute, a hard, long distance shot from Michele Testaferrata Viani hit the top of the crossbar and flew over the goal. Sliema Youngsters's Joseph Sladden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquin Phoenix in the 13th minute of play. After 18 played minutes, Templars FC's Ritchie Engelborgh shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Joseph Sladden came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Templars FC reached it. After 21st play minutes Jonathan Sammut shot 0-4, a short shot which went by Joseph Sladden and just under the crossbar into goal. Jonathan Sammut took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joseph Sladden. Joseph Sladden dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. In the 28th minute Jonathan Sammut shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joseph Sladden saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. André Courtois made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julian Sapiano in the 33rd minute. The Templars FC fans' excitement grew in the 35th match minute when Templars FC's Jonathan Sammut looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-7 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Adelino Marques came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Templars FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adelino Marques couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jonathan Sammut in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joseph Sladden saved Sliema Youngsters from getting behind. Joseph Sladden came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Templars FC's Jonathan Sammut. But to his dismay, Jonathan Sammut quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-8. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-8.

After 53 minutes, Jonathan Sammut made it 0-9 with a short kick to the right side. Sliema Youngsters's Joseph Sladden tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jonathan Sammut in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joseph Sladden saved Sliema Youngsters from getting behind. Templars FC's Jonathan Sammut got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match clock showed 61 minutes, the score became 0-10 when Jonathan Sammut sped through Sliema Youngsters's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Joseph Sladden. In the 65th minute, Templars FC's Jonathan Sammut dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-11. Jonathan Sammut's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 69thth minute, Joseph Sladden skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Joseph Sladden stood somewhat misplaced when Jonathan Sammut came free in front of goal and shot 0-12 to the left of him in the 70 minute. Dejan Magro hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Julian Sapiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 80 minutes, Staffan Apelqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Templars FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Staffan Apelqvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 85 minutes of play, Templars FC's Jonathan Sammut made it 0-13 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joseph Sladden was left in no man's land by his defense there! 89 minutes into the game, Dejan Magro threw the ball into play from the sideline. Templars FC's Evan Vancell quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Templars FC's Evan Vancell quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Dejan Magro, made in the 92nd minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Templars FC's Jonathan Sammut slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Joseph Sladden. That made the score 0-14 after 93 minutes of play. Jonathan Sammut sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jonathan Sammut fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joseph Sladden having to interfere. Templars FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
