Pankracy Zawacki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kim Bolas, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. With a little luck, Meerkats FC's Pankracy Zawacki got control of the ball when Kim Bolas tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Kim Bolas came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Sliema Dragons FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kim Bolas couldn't finish the play. Pankracy Zawacki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kim Bolas in the 20th minute of play. Pankracy Zawacki was a little too slow when Kim Bolas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 26th minute. The score was now 2-0. In the 33rd minute Sliema Dragons FC were awarded a corner. Giovanni Demicoli went to the cornerflag to take it. Sliema Dragons FC's Ulises Ixidor was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Pankracy Zawacki in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Sliema Dragons FC's Kim Bolas got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 40 minutes into the match, Sliema Dragons FC's Kim Bolas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pankracy Zawacki narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 41st minute of the match Sliema Dragons FC got a corner. Meerkats FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Giovanni Demicoli ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 43rd minute, Oliver Ahlroth hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 45th match minute, Meerkats FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aron Ghinescu to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aron Ghinescu was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Kim Bolas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pankracy Zawacki was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Meerkats FC's Pankracy Zawacki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kim Bolas in the 58th minute of play. 60 minutes into the game, Sliema Dragons FC's Kim Bolas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pankracy Zawacki made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. A collision led to Meerkats FC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Aron Ghinescu hit a great ball. Kim Bolas scored 6-0 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pankracy Zawacki, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pankracy Zawacki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dejan Cassar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. George Axiaq made in the 75th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Oliver Ahlroth however managed to control. After 77 minutes of play, Sliema Dragons FC's Baran Erozan made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pankracy Zawacki was left in no man's land by his defense there! 81 minutes into the match, Meerkats FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dejan Cassar came free, but Pankracy Zawacki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Dejan Cassar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aron Ghinescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Meerkats FC's zone, Dejan Cassar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pankracy Zawacki came out of the goal and Dejan Cassar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pankracy Zawacki stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dejan Cassar's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. Ildefonso Fliz's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Mike Axisa firmly grabbed it by the left post.
