The supporters of Templars FC booed when Floriana Celtics was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. In the 47thth minute of the game Márk Kovács who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Floriana Celtics's Mats Sangolt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Márk Kovács was the one to do the kick off. It was a well-played corner which Staffan Apelqvist managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The audience was convinced that Márk Kovács's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mats Sangolt was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Mats Sangolt came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Templars FC's Evan Vancell. But to his dismay, Evan Vancell quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. In the 94th minute, Martin Manicolo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
