In the 2nd minute, Giuseppe Chircop hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ildefonso Fliz in the 5thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Baran Eroğlu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The Meerkats FC fans' excitement grew in the 6th match minute when Meerkats FC's Aron Ghinescu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Baran Eroğlu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ildefonso Fliz, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 20th minute, Meerkats FC's Ildefonso Fliz ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Baran Eroğlu. Baran Eroğlu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. 22 minutes into the match, Highbury Boys 1896's goalkeeper Baran Eroğlu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by George Axiaq. With a little luck, Highbury Boys 1896's Baran Eroğlu got control of the ball when Ildefonso Fliz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Highbury Boys 1896's Baran Eroğlu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Highbury Boys 1896 from getting a goal against them. In the 29th minute Aron Ghinescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baran Eroğlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, Highbury Boys 1896's goalkeeper Baran Eroğlu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aron Ghinescu. Matt Delicata hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Shaun De Battista took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 36th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Baran Eroğlu. Highbury Boys 1896's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After having played for 39 minutes, Ildefonso Fliz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Meerkats FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ildefonso Fliz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ildefonso Fliz's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 43rdth minute, Baran Eroğlu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Baran Eroğlu had great luck who in the 45thth minute grab hold of the ball when Aron Ghinescu from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aron Ghinescu made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ildefonso Fliz in the 54th minute of play forced Highbury Boys 1896's goalkeeper Baran Eroğlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfred Coleiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Baran Eroğlu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aron Ghinescu in the 59th minute of play forced Highbury Boys 1896's goalkeeper Baran Eroğlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ildefonso Fliz in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Baran Eroğlu saved Highbury Boys 1896 from getting behind. Highbury Boys 1896's Baran Eroğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aron Ghinescu in the 65th minute of play. When Meerkats FC's Ildefonso Fliz in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Highbury Boys 1896's goalie prevented a goal. When Ildefonso Fliz came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Meerkats FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ildefonso Fliz couldn't finish the play. Highbury Boys 1896's Carlo Cassola was substituted for Malcolm Farrugia. Highbury Boys 1896's Dennis Degabriele was substituted for Andre Laspina. Meerkats FC made a substitution. Amir Abou Jisser replaced Ildefonso Fliz. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amir Abou Jisser in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Baran Eroğlu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Baran Eroğlu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aron Ghinescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Highbury Boys 1896's goalkeeper Baran Eroğlu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Highbury Boys 1896 getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Matt Delicata hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 91 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Amir Abou Jisser sped through Highbury Boys 1896's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Baran Eroğlu. Many of Highbury Boys 1896's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Highbury Boys 1896 may have spent more time on the ball, but Meerkats FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
