The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Boban Gavrilov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Csaba Gerebics in the 3rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Aldo Castellani managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ljubanci's supporters rose to their feet, but Aldo Castellani was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Boban Gavrilov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fc.liverpool's Boban Gavrilov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Fc.liverpool from getting a goal against them. In the 6th minute, Csaba Gerebics reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Boban Gavrilov. The goal made the score 1-0. If Csaba Gerebics had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16th minute, Csaba Gerebics got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vuk Georgievski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 22 minutes into the game, Ljubanci's Csaba Gerebics nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Boban Gavrilov made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Boban Gavrilov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Csaba Gerebics, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 29th minute, Ljuben Lefkovski fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Boban Gavrilov, passed just outside the right post. With a little luck, Fc.liverpool's Boban Gavrilov got control of the ball when Csaba Gerebics tried to sneak it across the goal line. Žare Pavleski charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Žare Pavleski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Fc.liverpool's Žare Pavleski got a free kick in the 34th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Aldo Castellani notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Fc.liverpool's Boban Gavrilov. Boban Gavrilov was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Aldo Castellani's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Boban Gavrilov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. Boban Gavrilov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Csaba Gerebics in the 43rd minute. In the 44th minute Aldo Castellani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boban Gavrilov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ljubanci's Csaba Gerebics in 48 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Boban Gavrilov guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Žare Pavleski to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Fc.liverpool's goalkeeper Boban Gavrilov, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 53rd minute, Csaba Gerebics got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stevan Skenderovski in the 56th minute of play forced Fc.liverpool's goalkeeper Boban Gavrilov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 57th minute, Vuk Georgievski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Fc.liverpool's Arian Mirkovski got a free kick in the 58th minute. Aldo Castellani struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Boban Gavrilov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ljubanci. Ljuben Lefkovski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Boban Gavrilov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 68 played minutes Fc.liverpool got a freekick which was hit by Joakim Veselinov. Maksim Zdravev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Csaba Gerebics scored 7-0 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Boban Gavrilov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Aldo Castellani scored 8-0 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Boban Gavrilov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Aldo Castellani recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. There was no doubt that Ljubanci were the better team. Ljubanci's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
