The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Through an outstanding action, after 3 minutes, Mondi Hod successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Boris Hristov struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Mondi Hod didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Sheriff. Boris Hristovs short, quick shot in the 6thth minute got Mondi Hod to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 7th minute, Lorik Cana had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Jovica Šulevski charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jovica Šulevski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jovica Šulevski kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. After 11th play minutes Boris Hristov shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Mondi Hod and just under the crossbar into goal. Mondi Hod was out of position in the 16 minute of play, and Boris Hristov capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Boris Hristov really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. FC Sheriff's 余岩勇 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jovica Šulevski in the 20th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Youth Academy's Velko Kuzmanovski got a free kick in the 30th minute. Mondi Hod made an important save on a dangerous shot by Boris Hristov in the 30th minute. Boris Hristov who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 31stth minute tested the skills of Mondi Hod when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 34 minutes into the game, Youth Academy's Sande Kočovski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. 余岩勇 made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Goce Tasevski got free with Mondi Hod in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 40th minute FC Sheriff were awarded a corner. Sreten Spasenov went to the cornerflag to take it. If Boris Hristov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Enrique Ceresso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Mondi Hod tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Razvan Naceski to strike the kick off in the second half. Mondi Hod didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Enrique Ceresso went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Mondi Hod made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boris Hristov in the 58th minute of play. Mondi Hod took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boris Hristov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mondi Hod showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrique Ceresso in the 59th minute of the match. FC Sheriff's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sreten Spasenov in the 61st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Boris Hristov in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mondi Hod prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mondi Hod took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boris Hristov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oberst-Wilhelm Factor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Boris Hristov in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mondi Hod prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 77 played minutes FC Sheriff got a freekick which was hit by Sreten Spasenov. Enrique Ceresso took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mondi Hod. Mondi Hod dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. Enrique Ceresso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 85th minute Boris Hristov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mondi Hod saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 87 minutes of play, FC Sheriff's Boris Hristov made it 7-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mondi Hod was left in no man's land by his defense there! FC Sheriff's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
