The referee ignored SEA KING -Y's protests and gave Jean-Claude Majerus a yellow card for diving instead. West Wickham's Pierre Hausemer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Georg Werner in the 17th minute of play. SEA KING -Y's Jean-Claude Majerus got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 24thth minute of the game Emil Ries who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SEA KING -Y's Lazlo Baumstein was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Emil Ries did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Lazlo Baumstein 28 minutes into the match. After 34 played minutes SEA KING -Y got a freekick which was hit by Jean-Claude Majerus. Lazlo Baumstein showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustav zu Castell-Rüdenhausen in the 41st minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Emil Ries put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Lazlo Baumstein. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emil Ries to make the kick off. In the 67th minute, Emil Ries got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 68 minutes into the game, Charles Köhler was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SEA KING -Y's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave West Wickham the free kick.
