Alex Reuter stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bernhard Bismarck's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Liversedge City's Alex Reuter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernhard Bismarck in the 14th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ludwig Helminger in the 16th minute of play forced Poynton's goalkeeper Danny Favre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Liversedge City getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Philip Aumeier hit a great ball. Alex Reuter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernhard Bismarck, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Alex Reuter came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Poynton's William zu Castell-Rüdenhausen. But to his dismay, William zu Castell-Rüdenhausen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 30th match minute, Poynton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emil Hannawald to maneuver through the defense. 34 minutes into the match, Poynton's goal looked a bit too open when Ludwig Helminger came free, but Danny Favre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Philip Aumeier in the 35th minute of play forced Poynton's goalkeeper Danny Favre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Poynton's Charles Lichtenstein got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bernhard Bismarck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Alex Reuter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 44 minutes, William zu Castell-Rüdenhausen made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Liversedge City's Alex Reuter tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Philip Aumeier stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Charles Lichtenstein sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Danny Favre made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Ludwig Helminger sent off a good shot on target. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Liversedge City's goalkeeper Alex Reuter, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Bernhard Bismarck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Poynton's Moritz von Axelson couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 61st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Liversedge City. Bernhard Bismarck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Reuter having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers William zu Castell-Rüdenhausen in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alex Reuter saved Liversedge City from getting behind. A collision led to Liversedge City getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Moritz Wagener hit a great ball. In the 74th minute, William zu Castell-Rüdenhausen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Poynton fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. If Bernhard Bismarck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Poynton's William zu Castell-Rüdenhausen got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 83rd minute, Bernhard Bismarck got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 84 minutes into the match, William zu Castell-Rüdenhausen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alex Reuter. Liversedge City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that William zu Castell-Rüdenhausen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Bernhard Bismarck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Alex Reuter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If William zu Castell-Rüdenhausen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Liversedge City's Alex Reuter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emil Hannawald in the 96th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Poynton players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
