The referee ignored Dersingham FC's protests and gave Kristopher Heath a yellow card for diving instead. Dersingham FC's Teddy Bond proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Dersingham FC from getting a goal against them. In the 9th minute of the match, Ralph Meyer tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Teddy Bond saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Littlehampton ⚽️'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Peter Hammes in the 10th minute. The corner led Littlehampton ⚽️'s Ralph Meyer to fire away a dangerous shot which Teddy Bond despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. If Paul Breitbarth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 13 minutes into the game, Don Blackwell was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dersingham FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Littlehampton ⚽️ the free kick. With his leg Teddy Bond managed to avoid a goal in the 18thth minute, when Littlehampton ⚽️'s Ralph Meyer fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Garry Poynton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ralph Meyers short, quick shot in the 26thth minute got Teddy Bond to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 27 minutes, Philipp von Hompesch zu Bolheim mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Littlehampton ⚽️ and the Dersingham FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Littlehampton ⚽️ getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Philipp von Hompesch zu Bolheim hit a great ball. If Ralph Meyer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, Littlehampton ⚽️'s Teddy Bond threw himself towards the right post 34 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Frank von Waldersee, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 35th minute, Littlehampton ⚽️'s Ralph Meyer dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. After 41 played minutes Dersingham FC got a freekick which was hit by Paul Morgan. Ralph Meyer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teddy Bond having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Paul Morgan made the kick off in the second half. Gavin Cryer hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. When Littlehampton ⚽️'s Ralph Meyer in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Garry Poynton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Alwin Jacoby tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Teddy Bond showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ralph Meyer, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Don Blackwell was shown his second yellow card after 70 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 70th minute, Don Blackwell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 71st minute of the match Peter Hammes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Teddy Bond showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Teddy Bond took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ralph Meyer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ralph Meyer in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teddy Bond prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Ralph Meyer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Littlehampton ⚽️'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
