Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ernie Frantz started the match with the kick off. If Jean Wipplinger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Pol Müller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Pelletier in the 27th minute of play forced Walford's goalkeeper Dion Wilhelm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dion Wilhelm stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alex Pelletier's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Dion Wilhelm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joseph Schlaustein in the 30th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Alex Pelletier's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dion Wilhelm was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. Dion Wilhelm came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Echternach Esch FC's Joseph Schlaustein. But to his dismay, Joseph Schlaustein quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Charlie Schneider received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Ted Brandebourg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 39th minute, Jean Wipplinger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pol Müller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Tim Dieschbourg fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Echternach Esch FC's protests and gave Tim Dieschbourg a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Echternach Esch FC's Tim Dieschbourg got a free kick in the 42nd minute. In the 48th match minute, Walford was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jean Wipplinger to maneuver through the defense.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pol Müller to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Echternach Esch FC's zone, Jean Wipplinger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ted Brandebourg came out of the goal and Jean Wipplinger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernie Frantz in the 60th minute of play forced Walford's goalkeeper Dion Wilhelm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Echternach Esch FC's Ted Brandebourg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pol Müller in the 66th minute of play. In the 68th minute, Charlie Schneider hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dion Wilhelm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernie Frantz in the 71st minute of play. Pol Müller recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tim Dieschbourg kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. If Pol Müller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. William von Clausewitz hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Walford's Christof Nowak got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Alex Pelletier came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Echternach Esch FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alex Pelletier couldn't finish the play. Jean Wipplinger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Echternach Esch FC's goalkeeper Ted Brandebourg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pol Müller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
