Glenn Heywood fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick Glöckner having to interfere. After 8 played minutes Castleford got a freekick which was hit by Tod Ginn. In the 9th minute, Nick Bruch fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After a rather tough play, Rodange's Lothar Rosenblum got a free kick in the 12th minute. In the 14th minute Rupert Forster shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrick Glöckner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tristan Ingram showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gregory Roth, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Castleford's defense didn't have a chance, in the 17th minute, when Nick Bruch scored to the left of an out of position Tristan Ingram, making the score, 1-0. Patrick Glöckner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Colin Rashleigh, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After a rather tough play, Rodange's Michael Lützel got a free kick in the 21st minute. 23 minutes into the game, Michael Lützel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rodange's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Castleford the free kick. In the 23rd match minute, Rodange was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michael Lützel to maneuver through the defense. Tod Ginn hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Castleford's Tristan Ingram played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gregory Roth in the 33rd minute of play. Nick Bruch might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tristan Ingram. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nick Bruch ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gregory Roth in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tristan Ingram saved Castleford from getting behind. Gregory Roth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tristan Ingram having to interfere. If Nick Bruch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gregory Roth in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tristan Ingram prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Clive Osmond fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Castleford's protests and gave Clive Osmond a yellow card for diving instead. Clive Osmond hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When Rodange's Gregory Roth in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Castleford's goalie prevented a goal. Michael Lützel hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Glenn Heywood could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Patrick Glöckner made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Castleford's zone, Nick Bruch stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tristan Ingram came out of the goal and Nick Bruch tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Gregory Roth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Colin Rashleigh's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Patrick Glöckner read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. Tristan Ingram made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nick Bruch in the 82nd minute of play. In the 84th minute Gregory Roth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tristan Ingram saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nick Bruch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Tristan Ingram tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nick Bruch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 88 played minutes Castleford got a freekick which was hit by Nicky Tabb. Nick Bruch scored 3-0 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tristan Ingram, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nick Bruch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Rodange had won after a very even match.
