Spectators: 8076 (Terracing: 6059, Seating: 1857, VIP seats: 160) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Luka Feuerstein kicked off to start the match. 6 minutes into the match, Hiltingbury AFC's goalkeeper Şinasi İdrisoğlu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ralph Pröll. In the 7th minute, Axel Hammes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luka Feuerstein sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 15th minute, Ivan von Bassenheim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. LIONESZ's Karlheinz Bachlechner shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 16th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Şinasi İdrisoğlu but with some difficulty. Şinasi İdrisoğlu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jean Hannawald, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Bob von Bassenheim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Dennis Lichtenstein tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dennis Lichtenstein showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luka Feuerstein in the 30th minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, Hiltingbury AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Stan Nowak came free, but Şinasi İdrisoğlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute, Hiltingbury AFC's Sammy Bausch seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Sammy Bausch the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Hiltingbury AFC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Sammy Bausch had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 33rd minute of the game. One of Hiltingbury AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of LIONESZ:s goal. When the match had been going on for 36 minutes, LIONESZ's Karlheinz Bachlechner got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Şinasi İdrisoğlu. Jerry Auspitz struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Dennis Lichtenstein didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hiltingbury AFC. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jean Hannawald made a kick off. When Joseph Braunstein fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored LIONESZ's protests and gave Joseph Braunstein a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to LIONESZ getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Joseph Braunstein hit a great ball. In the 52nd minute, Bob von Bassenheim got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dennis Lichtenstein made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bob von Bassenheim in the 54th minute. Dennis Lichtenstein came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Hiltingbury AFC's Jerry Auspitz. But to his dismay, Jerry Auspitz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. A collision led to Hiltingbury AFC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Bob von Bassenheim hit a great ball. Şinasi İdrisoğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean Hannawald in the 64th minute of play. A collision led to LIONESZ getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Joseph Braunstein hit a great ball. Jerry Auspitz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dennis Lichtenstein read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Axel Hammes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Dennis Lichtenstein tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 90 minutes into the game, LIONESZ's Ralph Pröll nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Şinasi İdrisoğlu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 93rd minute Jonas Winkler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Şinasi İdrisoğlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Many of Hiltingbury AFC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Hiltingbury AFC may have spent more time on the ball, but LIONESZ were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
