In the 8th minute, Hiltingbury AFC's Alfred Bauschinger seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Alfred Bauschinger the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Hiltingbury AFC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Alfred Bauschinger had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 10th minute there was a penalty for Wigston City. Wesley Beresford stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Şinasi İdrisoğlu. 0-1. The audience was convinced that Axel Hammes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kris Thorne was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Hiltingbury AFC's Şinasi İdrisoğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Franz Bilton in the 29th minute of play. Axel Hammes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kris Thorne having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Hiltingbury AFC's Jerry Auspitz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kris Thorne narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hiltingbury AFC's Luka Feuerstein managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Joe Harris in the 38 minute of the game. Bob von Bassenheim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jerry Auspitz fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 42nd minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot. After the first half Wigston City were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Franz Rhodes to make the kick off. Şinasi İdrisoğlu made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Kristopher Frost sent off a good shot on target. Şinasi İdrisoğlu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Franz Rhodes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 56 minutes Hiltingbury AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Wesley Beresford who took care of the corner kick. Wigston City's Wesley Beresford was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Şinasi İdrisoğlu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Axel Hammes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 73 minutes into the match, Wigston City's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Hammes came free, but Kris Thorne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hiltingbury AFC's Şinasi İdrisoğlu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Hiltingbury AFC from getting a goal against them. If Axel Hammes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Axel Hammes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Luka Feuerstein had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kris Thorne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Hammes in the 87th minute of the match. Kris Thorne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Hammes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Axel Hammes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kris Thorne read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. Ronnie Lowndes hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The Hiltingbury AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Wigston City's performance. The match ended with a win for Wigston City.
