When Gustav Furstenfeld came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Españolux fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustav Furstenfeld couldn't finish the play. A hard shot 14 in the game by Charles Majerus from a close distance when the talented Jack Howlett managed to make a qualified save. Leconfield's players were relieved. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ben Pritchard made a kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Leconfield's goal looked a bit too open when Gustav Furstenfeld came free, but Jack Howlett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Sammy Abbey fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Leconfield's protests and gave Sammy Abbey a yellow card for diving instead. In the 61st minute, Sammy Abbey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Españolux's Charles Majerus got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Españolux's goalkeeper Philip Babo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 66th minute, Charles Majerus got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 68th minute Gustav Furstenfeld shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jack Howlett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jack Howlett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustav Furstenfeld in the 76th minute of play. Jack Howlett stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Charles Majerus's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. When Charles Majerus came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Españolux fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Charles Majerus couldn't finish the play. Charles Majerus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Leconfield players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Españolux.
