Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Michael Axmann got the match started through his kick off. After 3 minutes, Aaron Dawes made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Stanway FC's Charles Furstenfeld tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Tod Lister fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Burnham on Crouch's protests and gave Tod Lister a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Stanway FC booed when Burnham on Crouch was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tod Lister didn't get a good kick on the ball. Robert von Radowitz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Stanway FC's Robert von Radowitz got a free kick in the 16th minute. After 20 played minutes Stanway FC got a freekick which was hit by Liam Hahnemann. Aaron Dawes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stanway FC's Charles Furstenfeld played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aaron Dawes in the 23rd minute of play. Robert von Radowitz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 24thth minute tested the skills of Ron Tipton when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Robert von Radowitz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Ron Tipton made a huge save. Michael Axmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Robert von Radowitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Ron Tipton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michael Axmann in the 41st minute of play forced Burnham on Crouch's goalkeeper Ron Tipton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 44 played minutes Burnham on Crouch got a freekick which was hit by Stu Fawcett. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Michael Axmann in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ron Tipton saved Burnham on Crouch from getting behind. In the 47th minute, Robert von Radowitz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jermaine Kent to strike the kick off in the second half. If Jermaine Kent had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Michael Axmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 61 minutes, Liam Hahnemann mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stanway FC and the Burnham on Crouch players grew even worse after the yellow card. 68 minutes into the match, Burnham on Crouch's goal looked a bit too open when Robert von Radowitz came free, but Ron Tipton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Robert von Radowitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aaron Dawes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ron Tipton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robert von Radowitz in the 89th minute of play. After some careless play in the Burnham on Crouch defense, Robert von Radowitz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ron Tipton. The Burnham on Crouch fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ron Tipton should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Stanway FC had won after a very even match.
