Seating: 1940, VIP seats: 168) Harpenden's Andreas Opitz started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Raphaël von Knyphausen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ludwig Hantzsch in the 7th minute of the match. The supporters of Royal Nassau FC booed when Harpenden was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Markus von dem Bussche-Haddenhausen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 10th minute, George Fürstenberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ludwig Hantzsch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raphaël von Knyphausen having to interfere. In the 27thth minute of the game Andreas Opitz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Royal Nassau FC's Adrian Guttenberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 28 minutes, Axel Blumenthal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Harpenden's supporters crossed their fingers, but Axel Blumenthal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Andreas Opitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Adrian Guttenberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Axel Blumenthal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andreas Opitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrian Guttenberg having to interfere. Ludwig Diederich hit a great ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and George Fürstenberg made a kick off. Harpenden's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
