An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Tully in the 3rd minute of play forced Ancient Avnis City's goalkeeper Christof Kirschbaum to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jacob Lane fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christof Kirschbaum having to interfere. Ancient Avnis City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Carlin How United the free kick. In the 10th minute, Florian Behringer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 12 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ancient Avnis City's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Reuben Knight was slow to take the kick. During this time Carlin How United's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Todd Robins heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Jacob Lane managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carlin How United's supporters rose to their feet, but Jacob Lane was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christof Kirschbaum breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Carlin How United booed when Ancient Avnis City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maximilian Köhler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Christof Kirschbaum showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacob Lane in the 23rd minute of the match. Carlin How United's Chaz Lampard proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Carlin How United from getting a goal against them. 26 minutes into the match, Carlin How United's goal looked a bit too open when Bobby Haugwitz came free, but Chaz Lampard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Carlin How United's Chaz Lampard got control of the ball when Friedrich Heppenheimer tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luka Baumstein during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 31st match minute, Ancient Avnis City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luka Baumstein to maneuver through the defense. Jacob Lane received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Christof Kirschbaum tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 40th minute, Ivan Tully got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 42nd minute Jacob Lane shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christof Kirschbaum saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, Carlin How United's Jacob Lane sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Christof Kirschbaum narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dietrich Thielemann hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Jacob Lane made the kick off in the second half. Christof Kirschbaum came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Carlin How United's Ivan Tully. But to his dismay, Ivan Tully quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. A hard shot 65 in the game by Ivan Tully from a close distance when the talented Christof Kirschbaum managed to make a qualified save. Ancient Avnis City's players were relieved. In the 66th match minute, Ancient Avnis City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dietrich Thielemann to maneuver through the defense. Ivan Tully recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 75 minutes into the match, Ancient Avnis City's Steffen Lück broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Chaz Lampard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bobby Haugwitz in the 78th minute of play. Stuart Noble kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Bobby Haugwitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ivan Tully could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Christof Kirschbaum made a huge save. A collision led to Carlin How United getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Jacob Lane hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Ancient Avnis City's Otto Göbl got a free kick in the 88th minute. Carlin How United's Chaz Lampard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Friedrich Heppenheimer in the 95th minute of play. The Ancient Avnis City fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Carlin How United were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
