Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Michael Axmann started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 5th minute of the match Christian Hilgendorf shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Raphaël von Knyphausen showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 6 minutes into the match, Stanway FC's Robert von Radowitz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Raphaël von Knyphausen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Liam Hahnemann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Michael Axmann in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raphaël von Knyphausen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Robert von Radowitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raphaël von Knyphausen having to interfere. In the 23rd play minute Robert von Radowitz came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Raphaël von Knyphausen. 1-0. 31 minutes into the game, Max von Radowitz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Stanway FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Harpenden the free kick. After 32 played minutes Stanway FC got a freekick which was hit by Liam Faehlmann. Adrian Lavigne took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 33rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Charles Furstenfeld. Stanway FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Robert von Radowitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raphaël von Knyphausen having to interfere. If Andreas Opitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Charles Furstenfeld showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andreas Opitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When Axel Blumenthal came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Harpenden fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Axel Blumenthal couldn't finish the play. Markus von dem Bussche-Haddenhausen hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Charles Furstenfeld came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Harpenden's Axel Blumenthal. But to his dismay, Axel Blumenthal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Michael Axmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raphaël von Knyphausen having to interfere. In the 87th minute Robert von Radowitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raphaël von Knyphausen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 88th minute, Robert von Radowitz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Stanway FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Michael Axmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Raphaël von Knyphausen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Stanway FC booed when Harpenden was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jean-Claude Imhoff didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Stanway FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Harpenden had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
