Dietrich Thielemann kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Nicolas Helminger in the 19thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. When Kurt St. Pierre came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Royal Lëtzebuerg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kurt St. Pierre couldn't finish the play. In the 65th minute, Nicolas Helminger made a precise shot to the right of Christof Kirschbaum. Ancient Avnis City's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nicolas Helminger in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christof Kirschbaum prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 82 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Nicolas Helminger sped through Ancient Avnis City's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Christof Kirschbaum. Christof Kirschbaum made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolas Helminger in the 87th minute of play. A collision led to Royal Lëtzebuerg getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Ruben Nassau hit a great ball. Daniel de la Fontaine showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Friedrich Heppenheimer in the 91st minute of the match. Friedrich Heppenheimer succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-1 in the 95th playminute. Royal Lëtzebuerg walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
