Raphaël von Knyphausen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Freddy Hollingsworth in the 6th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andreas Opitz in the 7th minute of play forced Carlin How United's goalkeeper Chaz Lampard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Blumenthal in the 9th minute of play forced Carlin How United's goalkeeper Chaz Lampard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chaz Lampard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andreas Opitz in the 10th minute of the match. In the 17th minute, Carlin How United's Jacob Lane dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Chaz Lampard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Blumenthal in the 21st minute of play. Chaz Lampard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andreas Opitz in the 22nd minute of play. 1-1 became the score in the 28th minute when Andreas Opitz elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Chaz Lampard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andreas Opitz in the 32nd minute of the match. If Andreas Opitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Chaz Lampard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andreas Opitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Axel Blumenthal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Chaz Lampard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chaz Lampard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andreas Opitz in the 42nd minute of play. Axel Blumenthal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chaz Lampard having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Carlin How United's zone, Axel Blumenthal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chaz Lampard came out of the goal and Axel Blumenthal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jacob Lane stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Markus von dem Bussche-Haddenhausen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jean-Claude Imhoff kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. In the 56th minute, Ivan Tully hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raphaël von Knyphausen came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Carlin How United's Ivan Tully. But to his dismay, Ivan Tully quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. A collision led to Carlin How United getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Reuben Knight hit a great ball. In the 67th minute Adrian Lavigne managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Axel Blumenthal got free with Chaz Lampard in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 74th minute, Axel Blumenthal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Axel Blumenthal struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Chaz Lampard didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Harpenden. When Carlin How United's Jacob Lane in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Harpenden's goalie prevented a goal. In the 95thth minute of the game Jacob Lane who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Harpenden's Raphaël von Knyphausen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 96th minute, Jean-Claude Imhoff hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Carlin How United fans cheered their team off the field, for while Harpenden had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
