In the 13th minute of the match Markus Trausch shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ron Tipton showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ron Tipton made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Kenny Brockhaus sent off a good shot on target. 23 minutes into the game, Elmar Bronstein was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Newcastle United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Burnham on Crouch the free kick. Elmar Bronstein kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. After 27 played minutes Newcastle United got a freekick which was hit by Franck Breitbarth. Burnham on Crouch's Jermaine Kent got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee gave Burnham on Crouch a penalty, 40 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Allan Avery, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Newcastle United's Stan Goldstein. 0-2. Aaron Dawes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Stan Goldstein tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Jermaine Kent made the kick off in the second half. Jermaine Kent struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Stan Goldstein didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Burnham on Crouch. Elmar Bronstein hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. If Hugo Thielemann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Newcastle United getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Franck Breitbarth hit a great ball. The long shot by Allan Avery in the 64th minute really tested Stan Goldstein's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Ron Tipton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kenny Brockhaus in the 71st minute of play. Stu Fawcett kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Kenny Brockhaus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ron Tipton having to interfere. Stan Goldstein showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jermaine Kent in the 92nd minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Burnham on Crouch walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
