After a defensive mix-up in Carlin How United's zone, Kurt St. Pierre stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chaz Lampard came out of the goal and Kurt St. Pierre tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 6 played minutes Royal Lëtzebuerg got a freekick which was hit by Kurt St. Pierre. When Kurt St. Pierre got the opportunity to take care of a free kick it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for Royal Lëtzebuerg. 12 minutes into the match, Carlin How United's goal looked a bit too open when Kurt St. Pierre came free, but Chaz Lampard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ruben Otto during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ruben Otto kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Daniel de la Fontaine didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jacob Lane went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 34 played minutes Royal Lëtzebuerg got a freekick which was hit by Freddy Juncker. Kurt St. Pierre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th minute Kurt St. Pierre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chaz Lampard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Royal Lëtzebuerg players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Carlin How United were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jacob Lane to strike the kick off in the second half. Nicolas Helminger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Freddy Juncker kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Edward Auspitz charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Ivan Tullys short, quick shot in the 73rdth minute got Daniel de la Fontaine to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Nicolas Helminger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nicolas Helminger in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Chaz Lampard saved Carlin How United from getting behind. In the 98th match minute, Royal Lëtzebuerg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emil Altschuler to maneuver through the defense. After 99 played minutes, Carlin How United's Reuben Knight shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Daniel de la Fontaine came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Carlin How United reached it.
