Spectators: 6934 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1934, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Tom Köhler got the match started through his kick off. In the 8th minute of the match Jonas von Waldersee sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Philip Amann skillfully saved the ball. Rupert Fürstenberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giles Reuter in the 10th minute of play. Philip Amann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilhelm Drachmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 16 minutes in the game, Tom Köhler dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Rupert Fürstenberg was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Giles Reuter showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 18 minute of play. Fredrik Günther received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Rupert Fürstenberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Tom Köhler came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Fussballclub Diekirch fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tom Köhler couldn't finish the play. Patrick Baum kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Rupert Fürstenberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giles Reuter in the 38th minute of play. Fredrik Günther sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wilhelm Drachmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Philip Amann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Giles Reuter was the one to do the kick off. Wilhelm Drachmann's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 55thth minute, Philip Amann skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Philip Amann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tom Köhler in the 57th minute of the match. In the 59th minute, Ebley AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Wilhelm Drachmann fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Giles Reuter in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rupert Fürstenberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 73rd minute, Adam Behm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Philip Amann made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Wilhelm Drachmann sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giles Reuter in the 84th minute of play forced Fussballclub Diekirch's goalkeeper Rupert Fürstenberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fredrik Günther recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Fredrik Günther had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fredrik Günther might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rupert Fürstenberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fredrik Günther ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Ebley AFC booed when Fussballclub Diekirch was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tom Majerus didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ebley AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Fussballclub Diekirch had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
