Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when George Kirchen got the match started through his kick off. In the 4th minute, Wilhelm Drachmann got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 5 played minutes Chazon FC got a freekick which was hit by Milo von Clausewitz. George Kirchen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 11 minutes into the match, Fussballclub Diekirch's goal looked a bit too open when George Kirchen came free, but Rupert Fürstenberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Fussballclub Diekirch defense, George Kirchen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rupert Fürstenberg. The Fussballclub Diekirch fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rupert Fürstenberg should have stopped the shot. Wilhelm Drachmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrian Imhoff having to interfere. Tom Köhler struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Adrian Imhoff didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fussballclub Diekirch. Fussballclub Diekirch's Rupert Fürstenberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by George Kirchen in the 31st minute of play. If Axel Aumeier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wilhelm Drachmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edward Schröder hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. In the 40th minute Fussballclub Diekirch were awarded a corner. Mark Fabricius went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Fussballclub Diekirch's Mark Fabricius to fire away a dangerous shot which Adrian Imhoff despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. George Kirchen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 43 played minutes Fussballclub Diekirch got a freekick which was hit by Franz Prüm. Axel Aumeier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Rupert Fürstenberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Chazon FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tom Köhler was the one to do the kick off. George Kirchen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by George Kirchen in the 57th minute of play forced Fussballclub Diekirch's goalkeeper Rupert Fürstenberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Fussballclub Diekirch's Tom Majerus got a free kick in the 58th minute. Milo von Clausewitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Rupert Fürstenberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Axel Aumeier came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Chazon FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Axel Aumeier couldn't finish the play. After having played for 66 minutes, George Kirchen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chazon FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but George Kirchen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wilhelm Drachmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrian Imhoff having to interfere. Chazon FC's Adrian Imhoff played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tom Köhler in the 72nd minute of play. If Axel Aumeier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Fussballclub Diekirch's Rupert Fürstenberg got control of the ball when George Kirchen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Adrian Imhoff made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tom Köhler in the 82nd minute of play. Adrian Imhoff showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilhelm Drachmann in the 88th minute of the match. With a little luck, Fussballclub Diekirch's Rupert Fürstenberg got control of the ball when Axel Aumeier tried to sneak it across the goal line.
