The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Englefield Green's Sid Flintoff sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Henry Hummel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 9th minute, Rod Chivers got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. DKMW Team were furious when Ivan Fleischhacker was red carded, 18 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 17th minute of the game. One of DKMW Team:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Englefield Green:s goal. Henry Hummel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sid Flintoff, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpected shot in the 30th minute by Perry Gernsback got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Oscar Beaumont kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Rod Chivers hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 38th minute of the match Sebastian Appleton sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Henry Hummel skillfully saved the ball. DKMW Team's Henry Hummel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sid Flintoff in the 44th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rod Chivers during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rod Chivers hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Perry Gernsback was the one to do the kick off. If Sid Flintoff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rod Chivers got free with Henry Hummel in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 58 minutes into the match, Rod Chivers had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Henry Hummel. DKMW Team's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rod Chivers was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Rod Chivers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Henry Hummel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oscar Beaumont charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Oscar Beaumont the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 72 minutes into the match, DKMW Team's goalkeeper Henry Hummel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rod Chivers. In the 73rd match minute, DKMW Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucien Klingelmann to maneuver through the defense. Ronnie Holdsworth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Perry Gernsback in the 80th minute of the match. Bodo Dubois's late challenge caught a Englefield Green's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bodo Dubois helped the player get up and apologised. After 92 played minutes DKMW Team got a freekick which was hit by Bodo Dubois. Rod Chivers didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 0-4 via right post in the game's 94th minute. Englefield Green's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! Englefield Green played a much better game than DKMW Team and deserved their victory. The DKMW Team players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
