Michael von Radowitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francesco Schmit, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frankie Beermann in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Michael von Radowitz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 14 minutes into the match, Zidanes y Pavones's goal looked a bit too open when Frankie Beermann came free, but Michael von Radowitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Zidanes y Pavones getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Alexander Bruckert hit a great ball. If Edmund von Ancken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Frankie Beermann might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Michael von Radowitz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frankie Beermann ran back to his position shaking his head. After 23 played minutes Zidanes y Pavones got a freekick which was hit by Fredrik Walch. Samuel Hummel shot from long distance after 24 played minutes, a shot that Michael von Radowitz with certain difficulty stopped from going in under the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Next generation football's zone, Heiko Hilgendorf stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christian Hantzsch came out of the goal and Heiko Hilgendorf tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Linus Gernsback kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Edmund von Ancken recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bob Pilz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Christian Hantzsch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frankie Beermann made a kick off. Edmund von Ancken sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Edmund von Ancken managed to get in a good position for a shot. Next generation football's supporters rose to their feet, but Edmund von Ancken was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Michael von Radowitz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Armin Reuter hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Heiko Hilgendorf's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christian Hantzsch was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Next generation football's Christian Hantzsch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heiko Hilgendorf in the 72nd minute of play. In the 77th minute Heiko Hilgendorf shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Hantzsch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd of the match, Heiko Hilgendorf tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Christian Hantzsch got in the way and made a wonderful save. If Fredrik Walch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christian Hantzsch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heiko Hilgendorf in the 87th minute of play. In the 88th match minute, Zidanes y Pavones was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albert Bourbon to maneuver through the defense. 99 minutes into the game, Edmund von Ancken cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Michael von Radowitz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
