Sid Flintoff fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jean-Claude Hahnemann having to interfere. Englefield Green's Ronnie Holdsworth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stéphane Sax in the 20th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sid Flintoff in the 22nd minute of play forced Pandalists F.C's goalkeeper Jean-Claude Hahnemann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rod Chivers struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Jean-Claude Hahnemann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Englefield Green. In the 28th minute, Sid Flintoff got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Englefield Green's Sebastian Appleton couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 36th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Pandalists F.C. The referee gave Englefield Green a penalty, 39 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Sebastian Appleton, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Pandalists F.C's Jean-Claude Hahnemann. 1-2. If Sid Flintoff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Rod Chivers in the 51st minute of play forced Pandalists F.C's goalkeeper Jean-Claude Hahnemann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 52 minutes into the game, Englefield Green's Rod Chivers nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jean-Claude Hahnemann made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. In the 56th minute, Pandalists F.C's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Rod Chivers fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a rather tough play, Pandalists F.C's Nick Fährmann got a free kick in the 61st minute. In the 62nd minute, CJ Barr hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Felix Woodman hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Rod Chivers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. In the 85thth minute of the game Sid Flintoff who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pandalists F.C's Jean-Claude Hahnemann was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With an all-out effort, Englefield Green's Jean-Claude Hahnemann threw himself towards the right post 87 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sid Flintoff, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Jean-Claude Hahnemann didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sid Flintoff went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. The goalkeeper, Jean-Claude Hahnemann, was totally fooled by Englefield Green's Sebastian Appleton, who 96 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The Pandalists F.C fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Englefield Green were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
