Fussballclub Diekirch's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edmund von Ancken was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 13 minutes into the game, Next generation football's Frankie Beermann nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rupert Fürstenberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Fussballclub Diekirch's Rupert Fürstenberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmund von Ancken in the 19th minute of play. Wilhelm Drachmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Hantzsch having to interfere. Rupert Fürstenberg came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Next generation football's Frankie Beermann. But to his dismay, Frankie Beermann quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Next generation football's Edmund von Ancken got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Frankie Beermann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rupert Fürstenberg having to interfere. Frankie Beermann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Rupert Fürstenberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When Edmund von Ancken came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Next generation football fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmund von Ancken couldn't finish the play. Edmund von Ancken sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Fussballclub Diekirch getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Tom Majerus hit a great ball. Next generation football's Samuel Hummel couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 61st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Fussballclub Diekirch. In the 62nd match minute, Fussballclub Diekirch was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tom Majerus to maneuver through the defense. If Edmund von Ancken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Frankie Beermann came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Next generation football fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frankie Beermann couldn't finish the play. Frankie Beermann blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rupert Fürstenberg having to make a save. Christian Hantzsch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilhelm Drachmann in the 76th minute of play. Wilhelm Drachmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Hantzsch having to interfere. Christian Hantzsch stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tom Köhler's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. In the 87th minute, Edmund von Ancken hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Next generation football's Christian Hantzsch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tom Köhler in the 89th minute of play. Frankie Beermann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edmund von Ancken got free with Rupert Fürstenberg in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 94th minute, Next generation football's Frankie Beermann ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rupert Fürstenberg. Rupert Fürstenberg yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. In the 97th minute, Tom Majerus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Next generation football played a much better game than Fussballclub Diekirch and deserved their victory. The Fussballclub Diekirch players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
