Spectators: 8371 (Terracing: 6368, Seating: 1953, VIP seats: 50) The Cove AFC fans' excitement grew in the 4th match minute when Cove AFC's David Weiss looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After having played for 7 minutes, Stéphane Sax managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pandalists F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stéphane Sax was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Karlheinz Bodenheimer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cove AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Karlheinz Bodenheimer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jean-Claude Hahnemann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 14 minutes into the match, Pandalists F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Karlheinz Bodenheimer came free, but Jean-Claude Hahnemann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jean-Claude Hahnemann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karlheinz Bodenheimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jean-Claude Hahnemann stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of David Weiss's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Oscar von Bassenheim came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Pandalists F.C's Jupp Fabeck. But to his dismay, Jupp Fabeck quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Jean-Claude Hahnemann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Weiss in the 32nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Weiss in the 36th minute of play forced Pandalists F.C's goalkeeper Jean-Claude Hahnemann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers David Weiss in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jean-Claude Hahnemann saved Pandalists F.C from getting behind. In the 44th minute, one of Pandalists F.C:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Pandalists F.C. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when David Weiss made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Karlheinz Bodenheimer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 57 minutes into the match, Félix Heinsohn sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Jean-Claude Hahnemann threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Félix Heinsohn this time. In the 63rd minute, Stéphane Sax made a precise shot to the right of Oscar von Bassenheim. Cove AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Jean-Claude Hahnemann was a little too slow when David Weiss got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 69th minute. The score was now 2-3. Jean-Claude Hahnemann was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but David Weiss showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-4 in the 75 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Weiss in the 84th minute of play forced Pandalists F.C's goalkeeper Jean-Claude Hahnemann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. David Weiss received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Jean-Claude Hahnemann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If David Weiss had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Pandalists F.C's Charles Fröhlich got a free kick in the 92nd minute. The Pandalists F.C fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Cove AFC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
