With a little luck, Biggleswade City's Gaston Hildmann got control of the ball when Robert Brandebourg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Robert Brandebourg struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Gaston Hildmann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for F.C. Shalke Overligger. In the 26th minute Jacques Ries shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raphaël Groben saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Shalke Overligger's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Claude Heinsohn helped the player get up and apologised. Shalke Overligger's Raphaël Groben got control of the ball when Friedrich Altschuler tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ernie von Axelson hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Shalke Overligger's goalkeeper Raphaël Groben, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. F.C. Shalke Overligger's Lutz Grünfeld got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Robert Brandebourg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Biggleswade City would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
