Ernie Goldstein kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Michael Beaumont managed to get in a good position for a shot. Waterloo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Michael Beaumont was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Max Wipplinger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Benjamin Gibbs's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Max Wipplinger was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. 24 minutes into the match, Waterloo FC's Ethan Newby sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Max Wipplinger narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 26 minutes into the match, Fowey United's goal looked a bit too open when Ethan Newby came free, but Max Wipplinger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The wind increased when Ethan Newby made the kick off in the second half. 0-2 became the score in the 57th minute when Ethan Newby elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Dominic Pullen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Franz Herrmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Waterloo FC's Pierre Barker got his second yellow card of the match in the 62nd minute. The referee ordered Pierre Barker off the ground. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Waterloo FC's goalkeeper Dominic Pullen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Waterloo FC's Guy Porter got a free kick in the 65th minute. If Benjamin Gibbs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Max Wipplinger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ethan Newby, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Noah Wagner struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Dominic Pullen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fowey United. If Franz Herrmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Waterloo FC's zone, Noah Wagner stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dominic Pullen came out of the goal and Noah Wagner tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 86th minute of the match, Benjamin Gibbs got a very nice opportunity to score, but Max Wipplinger was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 88th minute of the match Waterloo FC got a corner. Fowey United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Michael Beaumont ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Waterloo FC's Michael Beaumont to fire away a dangerous shot which Max Wipplinger despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The Waterloo FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Waterloo FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
