Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Siegfried Brockhaus made the kick off and thus started the match. Klaus Hoffmann hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in comecus F.C's zone, Stéphane Hammerschmidt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albert Rheingold came out of the goal and Stéphane Hammerschmidt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Klaus Hoffmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albert Rheingold having to interfere. In the 17thth minute of the game Stéphane Hammerschmidt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but comecus F.C's Albert Rheingold was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Albert Rheingold stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Klaus Hoffmann's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. If Stéphane Hammerschmidt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stéphane Hammerschmidt in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Albert Rheingold prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Porthcurno United's zone, Siegfried Brockhaus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Billy Axmann came out of the goal and Siegfried Brockhaus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Albert Rheingold showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stéphane Hammerschmidt, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Albert Rheingold took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Klaus Hoffmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Albert Rheingold came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Porthcurno United's Stéphane Hammerschmidt. But to his dismay, Stéphane Hammerschmidt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 36th minute Stéphane Hammerschmidt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albert Rheingold saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Willy Waltzing was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 39 minutes into the match. The goalkeeper, Billy Axmann, was totally fooled by comecus F.C's Sammy Brötzmann, who 41 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Billy Axmann made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lars von Hompesch zu Bolheim in the 46th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The supporters of Porthcurno United booed when comecus F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacob Gerhardt didn't get a good kick on the ball. 59 minutes into the match, Lars von Hompesch zu Bolheim had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Billy Axmann. Porthcurno United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lars von Hompesch zu Bolheim was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Porthcurno United's Rudy Schleck suffered a sore thigh after 62 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 62 played minutes comecus F.C got a freekick which was hit by Jacob Gerhardt. Albert Rheingold showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Klaus Hoffmann in the 65th minute of the match. Igor zu Castell-Rüdenhausen hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. If Jean-Claude Heisenberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Klaus Hoffmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albert Rheingold having to interfere. Porthcurno United's Klaus Hoffmann got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 73rd minute, Klaus Hoffmann got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Billy Axmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Siegfried Brockhaus in the 76th minute of the match. In the 79th minute, Klaus Hoffmann made a precise shot to the right of Albert Rheingold. comecus F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. With a little luck, comecus F.C's Albert Rheingold got control of the ball when Abraham Wagener tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 84th match minute, comecus F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacob Gerhardt to maneuver through the defense. When Abraham Wagener came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Porthcurno United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abraham Wagener couldn't finish the play. Abraham Wagener received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Albert Rheingold tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Albert Rheingold took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Klaus Hoffmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Klaus Hoffmann couldn't finish the play. Albert Rheingold was out of position in the 96 minute of play, and Klaus Hoffmann capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Klaus Hoffmann really showed his touch with that goal: 2-3. The comecus F.C fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Porthcurno United were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
