In the 4thth minute of the game Heiko Bach who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Waterloo FC's Dominic Pullen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jupp Häussler hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Michael Beaumont from long distance, 12 minutes into the match, got Claude Reuter's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Kerkezer AFC's Claude Reuter proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Kerkezer AFC from getting a goal against them. Benjamin Gibbs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claude Reuter having to interfere. Heiko Bach sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 31 minutes, David Bodenheimer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kerkezer AFC and the Waterloo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The goalkeeper, Claude Reuter, was totally fooled by Waterloo FC's Michael Beaumont, who 32 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. When Jupp Häussler fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kerkezer AFC's protests and gave Jupp Häussler a yellow card for diving instead. 40 minutes into the game, one of Kerkezer AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 47th minute, Ethan Newby got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ralf Faas to make the kick off. Waterloo FC's Guy Porter got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ralf Faas struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Dominic Pullen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kerkezer AFC. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ethan Newby in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Claude Reuter saved Kerkezer AFC from getting behind. The supporters of Waterloo FC booed when Kerkezer AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luca Habermann didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin Gibbs in the 72nd minute of play forced Kerkezer AFC's goalkeeper Claude Reuter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Waterloo FC's Guy Porter got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Claude Reuter came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Waterloo FC's Ethan Newby. But to his dismay, Ethan Newby quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Dominic Pullen came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Kerkezer AFC's Heiko Bach. But to his dismay, Heiko Bach quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Ralf Faas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96th minute Ralf Faas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dominic Pullen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There was no doubt that Waterloo FC were the better team. Waterloo FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
