Dennis Mutzel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Casey Lonsdale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Dennis Mutzel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Casey Lonsdale was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. When Fairfield's Jon Bayne in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After 26 minutes, Chris Durrant mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fairfield and the Fc DeBoer players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Fairfield getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Chris Durrant hit a great ball. Dennis Mutzel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 41 minutes, Joseph Baasch mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fc DeBoer and the Fairfield players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 41st match minute, Fc DeBoer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joseph Baasch to maneuver through the defense. 44 minutes into the match, Fairfield's Kurt Hart sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kenny Roth narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jon Bayne stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jon Bayne in the 58th minute of play forced Fc DeBoer's goalkeeper Kenny Roth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th minute Dennis Mutzel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casey Lonsdale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fairfield's Casey Lonsdale proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Fairfield from getting a goal against them. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Fc DeBoer's goalkeeper Kenny Roth, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kurt Hart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 76 minutes into the game, Fairfield's Jon Bayne nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kenny Roth made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Kurt Hart struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Kenny Roth didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fairfield. Kenny Roth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chris Durrant in the 84th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Fc DeBoer's zone, Jon Bayne stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kenny Roth came out of the goal and Jon Bayne tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kenny Roth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vern Turner, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Chris Durrant blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kenny Roth having to make a save. Fairfield's Kurt Hart got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Dennis Mutzel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fc DeBoer's supporters rose to their feet, but Dennis Mutzel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Casey Lonsdale breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fairfield were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Fc DeBoer for a fine match.
