Henry Bamberger kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Ethan Newby charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ethan Newby the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 24th minute, Ethan Newby hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pierre-Joseph Pflaumenbaum fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dominic Pullen having to interfere. When Pierre Barker fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Waterloo FC's protests and gave Pierre Barker a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Waterloo FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Pierre Barker hit a great ball. Pol Bähr made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benjamin Gibbs in the 39th minute. Ethan Newby sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dominic Pullen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robert Finkelstein in the 45th minute of play. After having played for 47 minutes, Benjamin Gibbs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Waterloo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benjamin Gibbs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Club Brugge KV's Lazlo Kirschbaum got a free kick in the 48th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ethan Newby was the one to do the kick off. Pol Bähr showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamin Gibbs, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Pierre-Joseph Pflaumenbaum received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Dominic Pullen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Waterloo FC's Dominic Pullen got control of the ball when Robert Finkelstein tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Ethan Newby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pol Bähr made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ethan Newby in the 77th minute of play. Pol Bähr didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ethan Newby went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Robert Finkelstein's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Dominic Pullen firmly grabbed it by the left post.
