Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Jacques Ries made the kick off which started today's match. After 6 minutes, Félix Eckstein mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Biggleswade City and the Porthcurno United players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 6th minute, Félix Eckstein hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Biggleswade City's Gaston Hildmann got control of the ball when Klaus Hoffmann tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 9th minute, Stéphane Hammerschmidt fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 11th minute of the game. One of Porthcurno United:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Biggleswade City:s goal. In the 13th minute there was a penalty for Biggleswade City. Félix Eckstein stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Billy Axmann. 0-1. Gaston Hildmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stéphane Hammerschmidt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Friedrich Altschuler scored 0-2 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Billy Axmann, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 23 played minutes Biggleswade City got a freekick which was hit by Charlie Becker. Stéphane Hammerschmidt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Charlie Becker kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the game, Stéphane Hammerschmidt recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gaston Hildmann. Stéphane Hammerschmidt showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Gaston Hildmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stéphane Hammerschmidt, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 32nd minute, Rudy Schleck had to leave the field with a concussion. When Claude Heinsohn fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Biggleswade City's protests and gave Claude Heinsohn a yellow card for diving instead. In the 33rd minute, Claude Heinsohn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Klaus Hoffmann came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Porthcurno United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Klaus Hoffmann couldn't finish the play. If Abraham Wagener had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Stéphane Hammerschmidt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gaston Hildmann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The wind increased when Klaus Hoffmann made the kick off in the second half. Klaus Hoffmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Biggleswade City booed when Porthcurno United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stéphane Hammerschmidt didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Porthcurno United defense, Friedrich Altschuler kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Billy Axmann. The Porthcurno United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Billy Axmann should have stopped the shot. Klaus Hoffmann's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gaston Hildmann read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. Klaus Hoffmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Gaston Hildmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Biggleswade City's Gaston Hildmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Georg Bausch in the 71st minute of play. Klaus Hoffmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eddy Bronstein kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Klaus Hoffmann struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Gaston Hildmann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Porthcurno United. Klaus Hoffmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Gaston Hildmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Stéphane Hammerschmidt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 95 minutes into the match, Biggleswade City's goal looked a bit too open when Jean-Claude Heisenberg came free, but Gaston Hildmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle went the supporters of Biggleswade City were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Porthcurno United side.
