Oswaldtwistle FC's Kenny Günzburg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lutz Bäumler in the 7th minute of play. Kenny Günzburg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lutz Bäumler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th minute Klaus Pickler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pol Backhaus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the game, Dietrich Redoute recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kenny Günzburg. Dietrich Redoute showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. 25 minutes into the match, Oswaldtwistle FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dietrich Redoute came free, but Kenny Günzburg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 26 minutes into the game, Sheepy Giants's Lutz Bäumler nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kenny Günzburg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. With his leg Kenny Günzburg managed to avoid a goal in the 31stth minute, when Sheepy Giants's Lutz Bäumler fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Kenny Günzburg was a little too slow when Lutz Bäumler got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 33rd minute. The score was now 3-1. Sheepy Giants's Pol Backhaus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Klaus Pickler in the 36th minute of play. In the 45th minute, Sheepy Giants's Lutz Bäumler dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leo Nassau stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lutz Bäumler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kenny Günzburg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lutz Bäumler's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. After a rather tough play, Oswaldtwistle FC's Freddy Grünfeld got a free kick in the 59th minute. After 62 minutes of play, Sheepy Giants's Jan Grünfeld made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kenny Günzburg was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Dietrich Redoute had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. With a little luck, Sheepy Giants's Pol Backhaus got control of the ball when Klaus Pickler tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 93rd minute Dietrich Redoute shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kenny Günzburg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dietrich Redoute scored 7-1 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kenny Günzburg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
