Ludwig Zaugg yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 17th minute, Leo Nassau left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Oswaldtwistle FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Eddie Schleck scored 3-0 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ludwig Zaugg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ludwig Zaugg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leo Nassau in the 29th minute of the match. Kenny Günzburg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Siegfried Katzenbach in the 38th minute of play. Emil Kirchen struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Kenny Günzburg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bradford on Avon.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leo Nassau stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes in the game, Siegfried Katzenbach fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Kenny Günzburg having to interfere. Hellmuth Kubeck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Siegfried Katzenbach came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Bradford on Avon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Siegfried Katzenbach couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Oswaldtwistle FC booed when Bradford on Avon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerry Majerus didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot 61 in the game by Hellmuth Kubeck from a close distance when the talented Kenny Günzburg managed to make a qualified save. Oswaldtwistle FC's players were relieved. Oswaldtwistle FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leo Nassau was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leo Nassau in the 68th minute of play forced Bradford on Avon's goalkeeper Ludwig Zaugg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ludwig Zaugg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leo Nassau in the 71st minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leo Nassau in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ludwig Zaugg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 83 minutes into the match, Bradford on Avon's goal looked a bit too open when Eddie Schleck came free, but Ludwig Zaugg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But to his dismay, Leo Nassau quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. If Hellmuth Kubeck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Bradford on Avon players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Oswaldtwistle FC.
