If Theo Bäumler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 8th minute CJ Ansell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mick Albrecht saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ryan Bean took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donald Luxembourg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 14 played minutes, New Cross's Terry Fröhlich shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ryan Bean came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in New Cross reached it. 1-0 became the score in the 25th minute when Darius Garrett elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. A collision led to Rothley getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Caleb Hudson hit a great ball. Donald Luxembourg struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Ryan Bean didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for New Cross. After 35 minutes, Donald Luxembourg made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Rothley's Ryan Bean tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. CJ Ansell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mick Albrecht having to interfere. Darius Garrett could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Mick Albrecht made a huge save. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Donald Luxembourg made a kick off. When Theo Bäumler came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the New Cross fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Theo Bäumler couldn't finish the play. Donald Luxembourg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Ryan Bean tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 62 minutes into the game, Tristan Leighton was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rothley's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave New Cross the free kick. In the 62nd match minute, Rothley was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tristan Leighton to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Vincent Heidenreich from long distance, 63 minutes into the match, got Ryan Bean's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. A collision led to Rothley getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Caleb Hudson hit a great ball. An unexpected shot in the 67th minute by Theo Bäumler got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the last second Ryan Bean throw himself and got hold of the ball when Donald Luxembourg in the 68thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Rudy Klingelmann charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rudy Klingelmann the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Rothley booed when New Cross was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donald Luxembourg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Terry Fröhlich hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. After 87 minutes of play, New Cross's Theo Bäumler made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ryan Bean was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 93rd match minute, Rothley was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caleb Hudson to maneuver through the defense. When the match was over New Cross could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Rothley throughout the match.
