The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Laurent Hommel during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Enigma's Laurent Hommel got a free kick in the 8th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gerry Bartsch in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Moritz Axmann saved Enigma from getting behind. The supporters of Astley booed when Enigma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Otto von Bassenheim didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 12 played minutes Astley got a freekick which was hit by Kurt Weiss. Gerry Bartsch's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Moritz Axmann read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Astley's Edmund Kaiser proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Astley from getting a goal against them. Jupp Rabinger's late challenge caught a Astley's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jupp Rabinger helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Enigma's Jupp Rabinger got a free kick in the 25th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Astley's zone, Lenny Kilburg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edmund Kaiser came out of the goal and Lenny Kilburg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Julian Schneider received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Edmund Kaiser tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lenny Kilburg got free with Edmund Kaiser in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Laurent Hommel hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. 37 minutes into the match, Enigma's goal looked a bit too open when Walter Lavigne came free, but Moritz Axmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute Kurt Weiss shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moritz Axmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Moritz Axmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Walter Lavigne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Edmund Kaiser showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lenny Kilburg in the 55th minute of the match. Frankie Bachlechner received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Moritz Axmann came out and tried to block the shot, but Frankie Bachlechner slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 59th minute. 66 minutes into the match, Julian Schneider had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edmund Kaiser. Astley's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Julian Schneider was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. When Alfred Hannawald fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Astley's protests and gave Alfred Hannawald a yellow card for diving instead. After 68 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Astley! Axel Bourbon walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. In the 75th minute of the match Alfred Hannawald sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Moritz Axmann skillfully saved the ball. With an all-out effort, Astley's Moritz Axmann threw himself towards the right post 78 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Walter Lavigne, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kurt Weiss got free with Moritz Axmann in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Astley booed when Enigma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Otto von Bassenheim didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 96th match minute, Astley was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kurt Weiss to maneuver through the defense. Astley played a much better game than Enigma and deserved their victory. The Enigma players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
