After a defensive mix-up in Knights FC's zone, Bernd Helminger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raphaël Lentz came out of the goal and Bernd Helminger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. David Müller blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Charlie Rabinger having to make a save. David Müller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Nicolas Sulzbach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Müller could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Charlie Rabinger made a huge save. After 22 played minutes Luxembourg Youth Academy got a freekick which was hit by Félix von Axelson. Francesco Ozwald, 23 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Knights FC's David Müller got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nicolas Sulzbach sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Pol Kampf came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Luxembourg Youth Academy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pol Kampf couldn't finish the play. Raphaël Lentz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pol Kampf in the 38th minute of play. Jean-Claude Samson's late challenge caught a Luxembourg Youth Academy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jean-Claude Samson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 40th match minute, Knights FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jean-Claude Samson to maneuver through the defense. Nicolas Sulzbach recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. David Müller's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Charlie Rabinger read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Nicolas Sulzbach made the kick off in the second half. Francesco Ozwald took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 55th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Charlie Rabinger. Luxembourg Youth Academy's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Raphaël Lentz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pol Kampf in the 57th minute of play. After some careless play in the Luxembourg Youth Academy defense, Jean-Claude Samson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Charlie Rabinger. The Luxembourg Youth Academy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Charlie Rabinger should have stopped the shot. David Müller fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charlie Rabinger having to interfere. Knights FC's David Müller got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Charlie Rabinger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolas Sulzbach in the 86th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pol Kampf in the 87th minute of play forced Knights FC's goalkeeper Raphaël Lentz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernd Helminger struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Raphaël Lentz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Luxembourg Youth Academy. 96 minutes into the match, Knights FC's goalkeeper Raphaël Lentz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bernd Helminger. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
