With a couple of smart ball manuevers Walter Lavigne in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stefan Walch saved Cristiano RONALDO from getting behind. Kurt Weiss fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stefan Walch having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

After a defensive mix-up in Cristiano RONALDO's zone, Walter Lavigne stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stefan Walch came out of the goal and Walter Lavigne tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dagobert Edelmann hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Alfred Hannawald took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 58th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Stefan Walch. Cristiano RONALDO's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Walter Lavigne managed to get in a good position for a shot. Astley's supporters rose to their feet, but Walter Lavigne was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stefan Walch breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 61st minute Florian Bärwald shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmund Kaiser saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 65 minutes in the game, Walter Lavigne fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Stefan Walch having to interfere. Stefan Walch made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Gerry Bartsch sent off a good shot on target. Stefan Walch took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Walter Lavigne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Walter Lavigne came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Astley fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Walter Lavigne couldn't finish the play. Walter Lavigne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Kurt Weiss came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Astley fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kurt Weiss couldn't finish the play. Cristiano RONALDO's defense didn't have a chance, in the 83rd minute, when Walter Lavigne scored to the left of an out of position Stefan Walch, making the score, 2-2. With a little luck, Cristiano RONALDO's Stefan Walch got control of the ball when Kurt Weiss tried to sneak it across the goal line. Frankie Bachlechner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Stefan Walch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
