Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Donald Luxembourg got the match started through his kick off. Donald Luxembourg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charlie Rabinger having to interfere. Charlie Rabinger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donald Luxembourg in the 6th minute of the match. Charlie Rabinger didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Theo Bäumler went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Charlie Rabinger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donald Luxembourg, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Pol Kampf received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Mick Albrecht tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Luxembourg Youth Academy's zone, Rudy Klingelmann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Charlie Rabinger came out of the goal and Rudy Klingelmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 21stth minute of the game Theo Bäumler who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Luxembourg Youth Academy's Charlie Rabinger was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Terry Fröhlich took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 24th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Charlie Rabinger. Luxembourg Youth Academy's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, Luxembourg Youth Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Donald Luxembourg came free, but Charlie Rabinger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute, Theo Bäumler ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Charlie Rabinger was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. New Cross's Mick Albrecht proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save New Cross from getting a goal against them. After recieving a nice pass, Luxembourg Youth Academy's Elmar Auspitz tried to score from far away in the 37th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Mick Albrecht made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pol Kampf in the 38th minute of play. Theo Bäumler struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Charlie Rabinger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for New Cross. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Charlie Rabinger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donald Luxembourg in the 66th minute of play. Theo Bäumler struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Charlie Rabinger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for New Cross. Theo Bäumlers short, quick shot in the 73rdth minute got Charlie Rabinger to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Donald Luxembourg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Charlie Rabinger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Pol Kampf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Charlie Rabinger made an important save on a dangerous shot by Theo Bäumler in the 85th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pol Kampf in the 88th minute of play forced New Cross's goalkeeper Mick Albrecht to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Charlie Rabinger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donald Luxembourg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in New Cross's zone, Bernd Helminger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mick Albrecht came out of the goal and Bernd Helminger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. New Cross walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
