Spectators: 6948 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1948, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nicolas Sulzbach started the match with the kick off. When Tristan Leighton fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rothley's protests and gave Tristan Leighton a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Rothley getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Tristan Leighton hit a great ball. Caleb Hudson hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. David Müller fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ryan Bean having to interfere. Rothley's Ryan Bean played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolas Sulzbach in the 9th minute of play. If Nicolas Sulzbach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rothley's Darius Garrett got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rothley's Caleb Hudson got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Raphaël Lentz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of CJ Ansell's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Nicolas Sulzbach sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 36th minute David Müller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ryan Bean saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. David Müller received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Ryan Bean tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolas Sulzbach in the 42nd minute of play forced Rothley's goalkeeper Ryan Bean to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 47 played minutes Rothley got a freekick which was hit by Darren Banks. After the first half Knights FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

If David Müller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raphaël Lentz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Darius Garrett, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Nicolas Sulzbach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Caleb Hudson during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Caleb Hudson kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. In the 71st minute, Darius Garrett got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When CJ Ansell came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Rothley fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that CJ Ansell couldn't finish the play. David Müller could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Ryan Bean made a huge save. 81 minutes into the match, Knights FC's goal looked a bit too open when CJ Ansell came free, but Raphaël Lentz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Darius Garrett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raphaël Lentz having to interfere. David Müller received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Ryan Bean tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 96 played minutes, Rothley's Darren Banks shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Raphaël Lentz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rothley reached it. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Knights FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
