But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Florian Bärwald couldn't finish the play. Noah Goldstein might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stefan Walch. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nicolas Baumgartl took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Stefan Walch. Stefan Walch dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Silvester Müller made an important save on a dangerous shot by Florian Bärwald in the 83rd minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Esch‑sur‑Alzette had played much better football throughout.
