Spectators: 7000 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 2000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Drew Bullard got the match started through his kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Perry Beicht in the 3rd minute of play forced Horsham United's goalkeeper Sammy Cambridge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rex Steadman charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rex Steadman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Lynx FC booed when Horsham United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rex Steadman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Franck Klepper's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sammy Cambridge read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Perry Beicht in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sammy Cambridge saved Horsham United from getting behind. Lynx FC's Daniel Kiefer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Drew Bullard in the 11th minute of play. Sammy Cambridge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Perry Beicht in the 13th minute of the match. Perry Beicht scored 0-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sammy Cambridge, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lynx FC's Perry Beicht got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Franck Klepper received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Sammy Cambridge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sammy Cambridge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Perry Beicht in the 24th minute of play. Eric Slater struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Daniel Kiefer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Horsham United. Franz Baasch's late challenge caught a Horsham United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Franz Baasch helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Lynx FC's Franz Baasch got a free kick in the 28th minute. A collision led to Lynx FC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Lazlo Bodenheimer hit a great ball. Perry Beicht received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Sammy Cambridge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Lynx FC's Daniel Kiefer got control of the ball when Eric Slater tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Franck Klepper managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lynx FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Franck Klepper was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sammy Cambridge breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Franz Baasch was shown his second yellow card after 47 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Lynx FC getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Franz Baasch hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Franck Klepper made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Drew Bullard in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Daniel Kiefer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Franck Klepper received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Sammy Cambridge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Franck Klepper could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Sammy Cambridge made a huge save. Eric Slater sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Horsham United's Drew Bullard got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Franck Klepper got free with Sammy Cambridge in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Franck Klepper received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Sammy Cambridge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Mick Osswald fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lynx FC's protests and gave Mick Osswald a yellow card for diving instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Perry Beicht during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Perry Beicht kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. In the 86th minute, Horsham United's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Franck Klepper fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Franck Klepper took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sammy Cambridge. Sammy Cambridge dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. An unexpected shot in the 94th minute by Franck Klepper got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Perry Beicht struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Sammy Cambridge didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lynx FC. When the final whistle sounded Lynx FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Horsham United.
