Rupert Sheene tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Blair Butcher's late challenge caught a F91 Dudelange's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Blair Butcher helped the player get up and apologised. In the 21st match minute, Stannington was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Callum Bramhall to maneuver through the defense. Laurence Barber received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Philip von Prittwitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Steve Lincoln ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Philip von Prittwitz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dennis Gottschalk got free with Rupert Sheene in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jean-Claude Eberhardt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rupert Sheene having to interfere. Dennis Gottschalk didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 1-1 via right post in the game's 45th minute. F91 Dudelange's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Laurence Barber was the one to do the kick off. Philip von Prittwitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laurence Barber, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to F91 Dudelange getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Ralf Edelstein hit a great ball. Philip von Prittwitz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Laurence Barber's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Dennis Gottschalk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rupert Sheene having to interfere. With his leg Philip von Prittwitz managed to avoid a goal in the 63rdth minute, when Stannington's Callum Bramhall fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 65 minutes into the match, Stannington's goal looked a bit too open when Dennis Gottschalk came free, but Rupert Sheene reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 73 minutes into the game, when Owen Carragher put in a rough tackle. In the 73rd minute, one of Stannington:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Stannington. In the 79th minute, F91 Dudelange's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Callum Bramhall fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Callum Bramhall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jean-Claude Eberhardt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Rupert Sheene tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 95 minutes into the match, Stannington's goal looked a bit too open when Dennis Gottschalk came free, but Rupert Sheene reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kristopher Boxall charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kristopher Boxall the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. F91 Dudelange's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
